Rusty Surratt is the Razorbacks Select Youth Baseball Program Player Agent for the 2008 Season.
Rusty was selected for this position because of his sincere approach to the development of young athletes and quality citizens.
"We knew we were faced with a difficult task when deciding that we needed a Player Agent role within our program. Growing a relationship with Rusty as soon as we did, and him acceptting this volunteer position within our program, was a fortunate opportunity for the Razorbacks Program and the families involved", said Razorbacks General Manager, George Jones.
The goal for this role was to find someone with qualities of integrity, people skills, and a non-biased approach to the development of young athletes. A key requirement for this role was a qualified indivdual without a child playing within the Razorbacks program at any level.
"I anticipated a lengthy search to discover such a candidate willing to volunteer their time for such an important role.
I am excited and pleased to have Rusty on board. Our managers, coaches, players, and familiy members will benefit greatly from his support." added Jones.
Rusty's primary responsiblity as the the Razorbacks Player Agent is to be a liason for each Razorback player. Other responsiblilites throughout the season will be to assist the General Manager determine if a player is eligible to participate in the Razorbacks Select Youth Baseball Program, help conduct and select players during scheduled Razorbacks tryouts, mediate off-season and seasonal parent concerns or issues.
